It is SO hard!!! You get all relaxed on holiday, forget about the stresses of school, pitch up all tanned and jolly for the inset day, then, WHAM! It's time to hit the ground running. Timetable, resources, ability groups, parents, PE kits, lining up, tidying the tables, when can they go to the toilet/have a drink/sharpen pencils, where do they put finished work, what do they do if they're stuck, there is so MUCH to explain and sort out, I haven't had a chance to mark a thing they've written yet!
